Privacy Policy

Protecting your digital garden and personal data.

Last Updated: May 2026

At Plant Knowledge Portal, we believe that trust is the soil in which great communities grow. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our intelligent gardening tools, marketplace, and community features.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with our "Zero-Input Intelligence" and tailored gardening advice, we collect specific data:

  • Location & Climate Data: Used strictly to determine your growing zone, local weather conditions, and to provide accurate planting calendars.
  • Garden Journals: Photos, notes, plant statuses, and schedules you upload regarding your plants.
  • Account Details: Basic profile information required for marketplace transactions and community interactions.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data acts as the foundation for our recommendation engine. We use your climate data to generate real-time watering reminders, disease threat alerts, and hyper-local seed recommendations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Community & Public Sharing

By default, your garden bed and plant journals are entirely private. If you choose to publish a journal entry to the Community Feed, your username, photos, and notes will be visible to other gardeners. You can revoke this visibility at any time in your Garden Settings.

4. Marketplace Partners

When you purchase seeds, soils, or tools from our Curated Marketplace, necessary shipping and contact details are shared securely with the specific supplier fulfilling your order. All partners are bound by strict data protection agreements.

5. Your Rights & Control

You have full control over your digital footprint. You have the right to access, export, modify, or permanently delete your garden data. If you wish to uproot your account entirely, please contact our support team, and we will erase your data from our servers.
